To West Lincoln Community Care
I am a single mother of three children. I recently left an abusive relationship and found myself on my own with my children with no car and very little money. I was fortunate enough to be able to turn to Community Care for support and help with groceries and sporting goods as well as a washer and dryer which I so desperately needed. I also felt respected and cared for by the good staff at Community Care. I no longer fear the coming Christmas time as I know that Community Care will be there for me and my family eliminating the need for worry about money and allowing us to find peace and happiness at such a delicate time of year. I feel more secure knowing Community Care is there for us. I can see the effect it has on my children. We are more at ease knowing that we are cared for and looked after by such a wonderful program.

To West Lincoln Community Care
I’ve been going to the Food Bank in Smithville for a few months now and it has already made a huge difference in my life. It had also been my first experience going to a food bank and at first, I naturally felt embarrassed and awkward asking for that kind of help, but every time I stopped by I’ve been welcomed with friendly and genuinely good people. No one is judgemental or looks beneath you for whatever situation you may be in. Financially I’ve been really struggling the last couple of years. Going to the food bank has given me a chance to put some food money towards overdue bills, loans, etc. also eliminating a lot of stress. The food selection is great. I always get as much as I need. West Lincoln Community Care is a life-changing and sincere place and anyone who’s struggling and/or maybe embarrassed to get help, I’d definitely recommend going here. Thank you so much for everything!

I look so forward to going into the WLCC food bank to volunteer.  The overall attitude is one of appreciation and compassion.   It’s easy to work with Sharlene and all of the volunteers who care deeply for each other and the amazing patrons of the food bank.   Every person I have met shows me a special part of themselves making my life a little richer.

I am so grateful to be able to be involved with such an awesome organization.

Thank you to all.
